About Furano Ski Resort

Furano City is located in the heart of Hokkaido. Due to its remote location and inland climate, Furano enjoys relatively stable snowfall conditions, and even in warm winters affected by El Niño, it typically maintains good snow conditions. From the mountaintop, one can enjoy spectacular views of the Tokachi-dake mountain range and the Furano Basin.

Average snowfall: 9 meters

Elevation: 1,209 meters

Number of courses: 28

The New Prince area, located next to the New Furano Prince Hotel, is the main ski-in/ski-out area of Furano Ski Resort, allowing guests to ski directly in and out of the resort from the hotel. Due to its location and higher altitude, the New Prince area typically has a longer operating period than the Kitanomine area (late November to early May).

Kitamamine area is another major area of Furano Ski Resort, surrounded by numerous hotels, guesthouses, restaurants, and bars, making it Furano's most vibrant ski village. It connects to the Shin-Prince area from the summit, allowing access to the entire mountain with a single cable car ticket. Opening hours are typically from mid-December to mid-March.

Why Visnow

What makes us different

Qualified Coaching

Our coaching team is led by SBINZ Level 3 top certified trainers and brings together professional instructors holding international ski instructor licenses and legal working qualifications to provide high-quality and systematic ski instruction.

Approval Guarantee

As a partner of the Furano Chinese Ski School, Visnow guarantees that all courses enrolled through us are compliant. If a course is terminated by the ski resort due to registration issues, we will provide 100% compensation to fully protect students' rights and skiing experience.

Multilingual Teaching

Learn to ski in your native language for more accurate understanding and more efficient progress. Our instructors come from Chinese and English-speaking countries and can teach fluently in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, creating a smooth, safe, and high-quality learning experience.

Photography

We offer basic phone and paid professional ski photography packages: instructors will shoot in a safe environment and provide video analysis; or professional photographers will shoot to capture higher-quality snow footage.

Conservation support

A portion of Visnow's annual revenue is donated to moreTrees, the forest conservation organization founded by legendary musician Ryuichi Sakamoto. Every lesson you book with Visnow helps support a greener future.

Our Trainer

School trainer qualifications

Bryn is an SBINZ (Snowboard Instructors of New Zealand) Level 3 certified instructor. SBINZ instructors who can reach Level 3 and higher are among the few in the world, which means that they have reached strict standards in snowboarding techniques, teaching ability and professional assessment.

In addition to the New Zealand system, Bryn has also participated in CASI training, becoming familiar with both the Canadian and New Zealand international teaching systems. This allows him to integrate the strengths of different systems and establish a more comprehensive and efficient teaching approach.

As the trainer at Visnow School, Bryn is responsible for setting teaching standards and instructor training systems. She also directly participates in instructor training and internal assessments, continuously monitoring teaching quality to ensure that every instructor maintains a consistent and high level of professional performance, providing students with a safe, systematic, and trustworthy skiing learning experience.

What They Say

The instructor led a class of one adult and one child, teaching in a simple and easy-to-understand way, which made the child love skiing. Visnow also offers professional photography services. I think it will be the best memory of a family ski trip. It's fantastic!

Shawn W

My wife and I had our first skiing experience in Hokkaido. The instructor and photographer were amazing—professional and incredibly patient. Although my wife wasn't quite keeping up, the instructor patiently guided her and offered encouragement. The photoshoot wasn't just about taking pictures; he also guided me down the slope and provided suggestions and better directions for each fall.

Xu Cheng

Thank you, teacher, for your careful and patient teaching, providing many methods for practice and application, which has enriched my experience and knowledge. I really enjoy it.
